Finally, the rest of Pinball Arcade's Season Three tables are being released for PS3, scheduled for July 15. Admittedly I've played maybe three credits of WHO Dunnit in my lifetime, but Black Knight 2000, High Speed and Junk Yard are all old favourites. I've played more High Speed than is prudent or healthy, and it'll be nice to have a home version that's not ridiculous and ruined.
Pictured: Ridiculous, ruined, nostalgia filter failure vis-a-vis NES graphics.
I recall Junk Yard being obnoxiously loud, too - this should be fun for everyone.
On the subject of Farsight's pending fundraiser, The Addams Family is definitely all-time top ten material, and I'd buy it on release day should it be emulated, but I've always preferred Twilight Zone of the two. I've never been one to throw money at Kickstarters (I prefer to buy a product, not the promise of one), and I'm not particularly anxious to start now.
Trying to satiate the High Speed arcade itch by playing the NES version is not unlike a man dying of thirst being given a glass of week-old urine. Thank you, Pinball Arcade!
